Each explanation and theological exposition that we receive brings light to my understanding and motivates me to continue knowing the treasures that the word of God has to transform my life and that of my family. The passion that I feel for this knowledge and these topics is so great that I cannot avoid sharing them with my wife, my son, and other family members. A greater desire has been awakened in me to expand the kingdom of God. As a family we are pleasantly impressed by each biblical revelation, and we can only thank God for this beautiful gift that we received from the Latin American Reformed Seminary.

During the lectures, I was moved extremely by how miserable and arrogant I have almost always been with God. I learned that God does not have to explain to me anything at all because I am not anyone to ask for an explanation. I understood better His majesty, power, and most of all, His nature and the reason of His act, in other words, for from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever (Romans 11:36). I hope next time that something does not occur just as my human head had imagined, my mouth and my mind would be silent facing His good, acceptable, and perfect will of God.

Every time I think about our time together, I smile. I may teach the same core content of a course several times, but what makes or breaks the course is the feedback, communication, dialogue, etc. The level of participation was wonderful. I met some very humble and hungry students. I have been very impressed with what I have experienced with/through SRL thus far; enough that I have told members of the senior staff that I would like to dedicate the majority of my time teaching in many SRL centers. I would encourage the students to continue with their SRL studies. Hopefully, we will see one another again.

I have had the privilege of teaching Christology twice in 2021: to Cartagena, Colombia and Venezuela. The pastors who host these Zoom classes are serious and enthusiastic. They were able to get the word out that we would study the glory of Christ, our Lord. The interaction and questions were thoughtful and with purpose. The students want to hear the whole counsel of God and know how to live it out in the lives of their churches. It is hard to describe the sense of the moment —the Word is going forth, these men of God are laying hold of the truth, there is a mutual joy in the giving and hearing the powerful message of the gospel of Christ. For those involved in praying and giving to SRL, your participation means a lot to all involved.

In these classes, as I learned about God's great purpose with his kingdom, I have been in awe of God for his goodness and grace. The most shocking thing for my heart has been the power to understand that the great commission starts from creation. This and many other things learned about the Kingdom have created a passion in me to be part of the extension of the Kingdom; This is in contrast to what happened long ago, where I considered the great commission as a burdensome instruction. I thank God for allowing me to be a participant in these classes.

It is my wish to express my sincere thanks for the teachings received in the development of the course, "Old Testament Survey". There is no doubt about [the professor's] gift of the word, inspired by the Holy Spirit. I am grateful for each day of school that passes because I enrich my knowledge about the Old Testament in Christ Jesus, much more! Being 49 years old, I can say that I have already read the Bible completely, but the valuable contribution that [the professor] makes instructs us in an enriching way.

One of the things I was taught was to understand the knowledge of God in an intelligent and practical way such as His everlasting and infinite knowledge that our limited minds could not grasp. I know that there are some things from God that I cannot understand. For instance, this reminds me how limited is my mind and how immeasurably God transcends. On the other hand, the professor said something very interesting related to the question that some people like to ask: If God is good, why did He order sin? In regard to this, I learned that God ordered the sin but He did not create it and in His infinite and inherent wisdom He ordered it to reveal His power, mercy, forgiveness, and grace.
-Leonel

These lectures about the Doctrine of God made me learn about a kind and merciful God with all men, even more with His chosen people, without taking into account their sins since He justified them by His Only Son. He is a God who never changes, is wise and righteous. A God who does not spin around men, but in His deity and holy perfection everything is centered in Himself. A good and everlasting God who does whatever He would like to because it pleases Him. A God who reveals His holiness, majesty, and glory through His holy Word so that we know, praise, and give Him all the glory. A sovereign God who is faithful to His promises; even though we do not understand His plans and purposes in many cases, we must accept that He is God and that is His will.
-Katherine

During these lectures about the Doctrine of God, I learned that I am not anyone and I do not have anything to offer in the presence of all-powerful, unique, and unintelligible God. Everything that I am and everything I can see has been created by Him; He knows everything and can do whatever He would like to. All, absolutely all belongs to Him, through him, and to him. In the presence of this Great God, I have nothing to say but to praise Him forever since He is worthy of all glory and honor.
-Natalya

I learned that anything God commands is good, independent of whether I understand it or not or whether it is good or bad for me. I must rest in His sovereignty. God's purpose for everything that He has ordered is for His glory.
-Edgar

This week I understood God differently. I realized that the God I used to know is very different from the God in the Bible; this surprised me and touched my heart and I thanked God for that. Besides, I learned that God is completely merciful, sovereign, righteous, good, faithful, trustworthy, holy, happy, lovely, and some other perfect attributes. There is no one more worthy than Him and there is no one who deserves to be praised and compared like Him, due to He is the only one. What He has ordered, it will be. I want to point out that God knows everything and He has all the power above them because He has ordered them. He does not change; He cannot be bigger than He is; all wisdom comes from Him and His knowledge is infinite.
-Ovelys

We can know God just in part, but with the knowledge that is real and true. This is possible because God Himself has revealed to us. If men had been abandoned in their efforts, men would have never known Him, ever.
-Mario

Within all that we could see this week, there was something that caught my attention extremely, and it is the fact that God does not depend on us men at all, and it is a terrible heresy to even try to think that we are important within his plan. This should put us in the place that we should always be in his presence: at His feet. Glory, honor, and praise must be for Him alone.
-Alexander

After seeing this part of God’s attributes—being all of them perfect, eternal, and working into such harmonic way among them—I have been thinking about how much we sin against our God every day. That is because we do not know Him or, even worse, since we do not trust enough to put in practice those things and doctrines we have learned about God, and we have been studying throughout the Bible and history. We sin when we feel unhappy or cannot accept God’s will, or when deep in our hearts we think that our good or bad behavior might change His will, or even when we believe that our troubles are so huge that they cannot be solved, or maybe when we do not trust in the promise of all things work together for good; and how many other ways we sin against this perfect God! But thanks to Him, all those sins only guide us to see our necessity of Christ to get forgiveness and get close confidently to our lovely God, trusting in all He is and does.
-Luisa

I learned that the attributes and perfections of God surpass to a great extent our understanding. God has absolute control of everything and we are insignificant next to Him. We must not hesitate for a moment because He is sovereign, unchangeable, merciful, wise, and trustworthy. I also learned that to know more about Him, I must keep studying His Word and worship Him for His wonders.
-Maria

I learned He is unfathomable, almighty, unchangeable, and sovereign; all that happens is under His control, and nothing escapes His power. He fills all, indefinitely wise and good. This makes us rest in Him because everything that happens in our lives and the world is ordered by Him and it will fulfill according to His plan. Nothing can stop Him for His will, what is good, acceptable, and perfect. To God be the glory!
-Erwin

I learned that we cannot love God more than we know Him; we are not studying this seminar solely to get a degree, but to know more about God and Jesus Christ. In the presence of God we are insignificant, and we are here for His everlasting Goodness, Compassion, Grace, and Love. God created us according to His will and had already a purpose in our lives. Only to Him we must adore, be thankful, obey, and live just as the Bible says so.
-Miledy

Our God is a God who loves us. His sovereignty is over all things, and mainly, nothing is outside His will and purposes. All the attributes that He has revealed about Himself show us His majesty and that must bring us to Him as His sons, to humble us, to praise Him, and to live our lives in obedience and holiness.
-Javier

This week, I learned about the attributes of God. I could see how great our God is taking into account that each of His attributes is perfect. In His order, God let me know Him at the right time. He has called me with His Great Love and through His Holy Word, that I can know Him more and more.
-Diego

Every aspect makes God not only unique but also proves in a visible way why He is the God who holds the entire universe, His creatures, His children, and the circumstances that spin around them for good. That is because He does everything with purpose and for His glory even if there are some aspects that human beings do not like and accept, such as His Holiness; it is something as a human, we want to steal from Him.
-David

Every time I look around me I must understand that God the Creator made the best in all of it; every time I look at the Cross it is Christ the Savior who humbled Himself to the point of death to carry on my guilt. I also understood that if God loves me He does not love me better because He already loves us with truly and enternal love. I must not be afraid because God is taking care of me, and who is better than Him to do it? I realized if God promises something He fulfills His promises; furthermore, I recognized that every time I know Him better, I will be smaller and smaller in His magnificence presence. And lastly, but no less important, I understood that it ONLY by His Grace that today I can know Him a little bit better; that today if I have future hope to meet Him, it will happen because He promises it. To God be the glory!
